I

A Legacy of Craft

Founded in 1956 as the London School of Film Technique, London Film School is the oldest film school in the UK. It began with a simple belief: that filmmaking deserved serious, dedicated training.

II

The Heart of Covent Garden

In 1966, the school moved to its home on Shelton Street, a building at the centre of London's creative and film industries, moments from Soho.

III

A Global Community

For nearly seven decades, its alumni have taken their work to festivals including Cannes, Berlin, Sundance and the Oscars. Today, students join from more than 80 countries.

Why OPUS Begins Here

OPUS celebrates the future of cinema. There is no better place to begin than a room that has spent seventy years shaping it. Where traditional craft meets AI filmmaking, a new chapter starts.
